David Jackson

Chief Underwriting Officer

David has been with Lloyd’s Insurance Company since December 2021 and currently serves as LIC’s Chief Underwriting Officer. He leads LIC’s underwriting function, overseeing underwriting performance across its portfolio to ensure sustainable profitability within a compliant control framework.

Before becoming LIC CUO, David led LIC’s UK branch, where he implemented an underwriting oversight structure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements post-Brexit.

David spent 17 years in the London/Lloyd’s market, with a number of years trading as a liability underwriter, before progressing to managing a substantial and profitable portfolio of multi-class European business.

Passionate about diversity and inclusion, David is an active member of the Lloyd’s Pride network. He holds a BA (Hons) in History, postgraduate diplomas in Law and Legal Practice, and is both ACII and Responsible for Distribution (RD under Belgian requirements) qualified.
